Good morning, AA friends!
I would imagine most of us are back into our regular routines by now after an exciting and productive conference experience in Atlanta.
I would like to thank Shannon and Sylvia for staying in close contact with me through a particularly difficult two weeks prior to conference. Without their constant support and encouragement during and after the days leading to my mother's passing, my life would have been even more difficult.
Special thanks to Joyce Valenza for being not only willing to present, but accommodating to our schedule changes in the moment, as well as to Stephanie Book for removing a hurdle that allowed Joyce to be with our group in the first place. Finally, Renee Hale and Kelly Miller make everything look easy and are great people with whom I share this responsibility.
Discussion notes from our sessions, as well as unofficial meeting minutes, should be available over the next few weeks. They will be posted here as soon they are ready.
Now, the work begins in earnest. I hope you have begun work within your regions creating Statements of Concern and Commendation. For guidelines to the process per se, please watch the webinar here. If you have questions not answered there or in the official updated handbook or in the Affiliate Assembly 101 webinar, please don't hesitate to contact me.
I thank you for this opportunity to serve this organization that I consider so vital to our profession. Be well and take good care. I look forward to hearing from you and to seeing you again in June.
Best,
Mona
