Administrators Needed for Standards Focus Group

  • 1.  Administrators Needed for Standards Focus Group

    AASL is conducting research to determine how well the National School Library Standards align with school and district priorities, successful collaborations and support innovative instruction.  There have been several layers to this endeavor part of which are focus groups.  One of the focus groups that we are needing assistance reaching are administrators.  The focus groups will be virtual, so no travel required.  If you know an administrator who would be willing to participate  please pass along this information and encourage their participation that would be wonderful.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    AASL is hosting two virtual focus groups with school and district administrators to explore how school librarians can help you address the goals you've set and culture you are building with your learning communities. The focus groups will be held on Tuesday, November 19, between the hours of 9:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Central Time.

    To indicate your availability to participate in this important work, please respond here by Wednesday, Nov. 6.

    We know your time is limited and valuable. Participants selected will be invited to only one focus group opportunity each, and discussions will be limited to 90 minutes. Invitations will be confirmed with participants by Nov. 12.

    Your feedback will make a difference as AASL continues to develop resources to support literacy, inquiry learning, equity, and collaboration in K-12 schools through the AASL Standards. A research summary and findings will be shared with the school library profession and the educational community in spring 2020.
