New Library Standards Presentation help

Librarians in Kentucky are asking me to present at regional meetings on the new standards. Some groups are giving us 30 minutes to share, others an hour, and others 1 1/2 hours to present. Is there anyone out there already preparing these types of sessions? My first one is Thursday 1/25/18 and I'd love to brainstorm what everyone thinks are the "Must Cover" in the different length sessions. For those presenting already, are you only covering the learner standards or all three frameworks? I'd love any help you could give. Thanks!

    Amanda,
I have created a 2 1/2 hour presentation on the standards that I will share with you to modify as you see fit.

    Good Morning,

In PA, we will be presenting a 3-hour preconference in May.  We would love a copy of your presentation to get us started, if you are willing to share.

    Thanks!

Would it be possible to share it here on Connect?

    Thanks.

This is by no means a completed presentation, only a rough draft. You will see that I took many elements from the AASL affiliate pre-conference. Feel free to edit. I hope it helps you.
This is one I created to share with the librarians in my district, so you will see some slides that are district specific.

I also will share the short Breakout opener soon.

I'm posting the links to the presentation templates I've created. It's my opinion that 30 minute presentations are just so short, maybe too short, however if I'm only allocated 30 minutes, I wanted to be prepared to have something. The biggest differences between the 60 and 90 minute presentations is the number of activities participants have time to complete. In the 60 minute template, I focus on the learner standards and just talk about the other two frameworks. In the 90 minute presentation I had an activity for all 3 frameworks. The timing is still really tight but I've gotten good feedback from the one presentation given. Hope this helps someone else.

Thanks all for sharing these..I don't hve anything to offer YET, but these are helpful and appreciate the crowdsourcing.    There are many resources via Twitter, too, and surely that team has some "ready to share" resources.

    Hi,

I created a slide deck for a 1-hour presentation we just held at the PETE&C conference in Hershey, PA.

We took the first 40 minutes to provide an overview of the Standards and the tech tools highlighted for each Shared Foundation. During the last 20 minutes, we asked the members to work in partners/small groups to add to a crowdsourced document. Feel free to add your own tools!

In May, Jennifer Bates, PSLA President, and I will be presenting a 3-hour preconference on the AASL Standards to kick off our annual conference.  We hope to share when it's available.

    Enjoy!

    Hi,

I have had a few requests for the slides, and I'm happy to share them.

If you adjust it for your own state's needs, please keep slide 21 as it is to show the origin of the crowdsourced Google Doc (if that works for you).  I’m looking forward to seeing what the librarians across the nation will add to the Doc!

    Good luck with your presentations!
