Membership in the AASL Chapters Forum is open to all and may include the state-level school library association’s president/chair, other officers, conference chair, etc. Past Delegates and other interested stakeholders from the association may join the forum. This space provides an opportunity to share, discuss and ask questions from chapter colleagues across the country.

Participation on this site is regulated by ALA’s Online Code of Conduct.

  • 1.  Schedule for ALA Annual

    As some of you start making travel arrangements for ALA Annual in Washington, DC (June 20-25) I wanted to confirm the Assembly meeting times.  Exact locations will be shared once rooms are assigned.

    Affiliate Assembly I- Friday, June 21st  7:00-9:00 pm
    Affiliate Assembly II- Sunday, June 23rd 8:00 am - Noon

    A few additional notes:
    - AACT no longer meets face to face at ALA Annual but will have a virtual meeting in early June. 
    - The AASL President's Program and Awards Ceremony schedule has changed from previous years:
          AASL President's Program, Saturday, June 22nd, 9:30-11:00 am (Featuring Matt de la Pena)
          AASL Awards Ceremony, Saturday, June 22nd, 5:00-7:00 pm

    Are there plans for an AASL Affiliate Assembly Leadership Conference (previously scheduled on Friday late morning/afternoon) or State Library Advocacy: Enhancing Collaboration and Strengthening Library Ecosystems (as scheduled last year)?
