Membership in the AASL Chapters Forum is open to all and may include the state-level school library association’s president/chair, other officers, conference chair, etc. Past Delegates and other interested stakeholders from the association may join the forum. This space provides an opportunity to share, discuss and ask questions from chapter colleagues across the country.

Participation on this site is regulated by ALA’s Online Code of Conduct.

AASL members are automatically added to the community and may edit their notification preferences by clicking "Settings" in the header above.

ALA Connect Gray-Out Period

    On Monday, March 26th  the ALA Connect gray out/upgrade interruption will begin. The launch of the new ALA Connect is scheduled for April 25th.  From March 26-April 25 the use of ALA Connect will not be available.  


    If you need to send out a communication please let me know as your staff liaison and we can set up the best possible option for the communication needs you require.  


    If there is work that needs to be accomplished virtually by the group a Google doc/form is the recommended vehicle.  We will still want to transfer any work that is completed outside of ALA Connect during this time into the new ALA Connect in late April to ensure an archive of the committee work.  Staff will be able to assist with that archiving but be sure to keep a copy of final work product for posting once ALA Connect is up.
