National Library Legislative Day will be held May 4-5, 2015, in Washington, DC. If you have the opportunity to attend the event and speak to your legislators about funding and support for libraries, it is an incredible experience. But if you are unable to make the trip to our nation’s capital, then you are encouraged to participate in Virtual Library Legislative Day.
A number of resources are linked on the VLLD page, including flyer, bookmarks, and video tutorials. These items can help you make the case and advocate for libraries. You are also encouraged to RSVP to Virtual Library Legislative Day by posting on the Facebook page. Be sure to email and/or call your legislators on May 5 or any time during the week of May 4 and ask them to “Vote for Libraries!”
