Hi, everyone! Hope you are all making plans to join us in San Diego. I know you want to! After MidWinters in Denver and Boston (which were both lovely), I am ready for a warm location!
Jen Habley and I have been working on the agendas for our meetings. On Saturday we will have our round table discussion where we will learn more about the new standards and guidelines and implementing them. There will be lots of opportunities for questions and answers and discussion.
Then on Sunday during our Affiliate Assembly meeting, we will be hearing about the work of the organization, followed by a presentation by representatives from the Texas Association of School Librarians about a program they have developed connecting the library to the PTA (or similar organization). I think we all agree that our parents should be our best advocates, and I am really looking forward to hearing about this initiative from Texas.
