AASL's monthly "Advocacy and Legislation Coalition" meetings will be starting next Wednesday, September 14th at Noon (central). This initial call will introduce everyone to the new structure and present updates and information from AASL, the ALA Washington Office and ALA Office for Library Advocacy. A few things to note:
1. The "meeting" will take place in Adobe Connect and you will need to pre-register- http://ala.adobeconnect.com/e1h8nsbalp7/event/registration.html.
2. You do not need to hold an official title to attend. If there is a volunteer in your affiliate who is passionate about advocacy and legislation please feel free to share this invitation and have them report back.
3. The meeting will be recorded and posted for public viewing.
4. Since the meetings will be held in Adobe Connect participants will need to use the chat box to ask questions or make comments to the presenter.
5. We realize that there is no ideal time for all possible participants and expect this new format/group to change as we continue to meet monthly so please offer feedback and be patient as we work to find the best possible options for everyone.
