  • 1.  School Librarian Preparation Discussion at AASL National in Phoenix

    Posted Oct 18, 2017 10:10 AM

Please read the following message from the AASL CAEP Coordinating Committee and share on your affiliate communications:

Will you be at the AASL National Conference in Phoenix?  With the release of the new National School Library Standards, AASL is also in the process of developing new standards for school librarian preparation programs that will shape the next generation of school librarians. The AASL CAEP Coordinating Committee invites all school librarians and school library educators to join them in a discussion of the working draft. We'd like your input on what the new preparation standards should include. Come join us in 224B from 12:30 - 2:30 on Thursday, November 9th prior to the Opening General Session. Feel free to grab some lunch and bring it with you!

I hope to see many of you soon!

    Sylvia

    Hello Sylvia and all,

I will not be attending AASL this year due to some family conflicts AND a conflict in the date with our NYLA conference. As I have a need to be closer to home, this solution will have to do. So bummed to miss.    I will, however, share information with my colleagues who ARE attending.

Thanks, all...I know it's going to be an amazing experience!
