Reporting to the Director of Special Collections, the Head, Southeastern Architecture Archive (SEAA) and Assistant Director of Special Collections oversees acquisition, processing, preservation, and making accessible the regional architectural records at SEAA; serves as the library liaison to the School of Architecture; selects materials for the circulating and special collections on architecture, urban planning, and related areas; and assists the Director of Special Collections in planning, personnel management, outreach, and promotion of special collections of the Howard‐Tilton Memorial Library.

Outstanding writing and communications skills
Strong computer/technology skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide variety of staff and both internal and external collaborators and communities
Demonstrated experience supervising librarians, archivists, and staff
Excellent organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to organize successful promotional events
Knowledge of emerging trends in archival description and preservation, marketing, communication, and higher education
Knowledge of web publishing and exhibit design
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education
Graduate degree with a concentration in architecture or a related field, or a MLIS or equivalent degree with archival and/or architecture‐related experience
Minimum of 5 years of directly relevant experience in an academic research library or archives
Demonstrated knowledge of current archival descriptive standards, authority control, and related software (e.g., Archives Space)
Demonstrated knowledge of architectural history and the practice of architecture
Demonstrated proficiency with standard office software (e.g., MS Office suite), appropriate dissemination and design tools (e.g., Adobe publishing tools, Web content management software), and social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in architecture, historical preservation, or history/art history; ACA certification
Experience in donor relations and other forms of fundraising
