    The University Libraries (UL) at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) invites applications and nominations for the Head Librarian, Curriculum Resource Center (CRC), Assistant Professor.



    Major Responsibilities



    Reporting to the Chair, Archival Collections and Branches, the CRC Head Librarian provides leadership and vision for the Curriculum Resource Center (CRC); develops, administers, manages, and participates in all operations of the CRC; supervises three FTE including training, evaluation and prioritization of duties; coordinates and participates in reference, instruction and collection development activities of the CRC; prepares and monitors budget requests, unit strategic plans, monthly and annual reports and evaluations of the unit; and represents the CRC within the University Libraries, across the University, within OhioLINK and the local education community.



    Minimum Qualifications
     Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited institution.
     Minimum 1-3 years successful teaching or library instruction experience.
     Minimum 1-3 years successful supervisory experience.
     Minimum 1 year successful reference or public service experience in a library.
     Demonstrated leadership skills commensurate with head librarian responsibilities.
     Evidence of the ability to conduct and produce scholarly research and to participate in service commitments.



    Preferred Qualifications
     Master's degree in education or related field.
     Experience with assessment of library instruction and student learning outcomes.
     Experience creating electronic and print learning objects and using emerging technologies.
     Experience with theory and practices of Pre-K-Gr. 12 education



    Salary and Benefits
    12-month, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Competitive salary in keeping with peer institution libraries for rank and candidate's experience and credentials.



    Environment
    BGSU is a founding and active member of OhioLINK, a consortium of 90 Ohio institutions. The UL comprises general collections (housed within the William T. Jerome Library) in social sciences, humanities, and sciences; government documents; the Curriculum Resource Center; and is home to three nationally prominent special collections: the Browne Popular Culture Library, the Center for Archival Collections, which includes the Historical Collections of the Great Lakes, and the Music Library/Sound Recordings Archives. Additionally, the Northwest Ohio Regional Book Depository, that serves BGSU and the University of Toledo, is managed by the University Libraries.
