Dear ALA Friends,
The next Retired Member Round Table (RMRT) Book Club discussion will be on Sunday, December 7th. Since November's date falls too close to the Thanksgiving holidays, we've moved our gathering to December. We hope you'll join us as we dive into books centered around the theme of "traveler's tales"-or, if you prefer, "travelers' tales." The prompt is open to interpretation, so feel free to get creative!
When I searched "travel" on Goodreads, I found nearly 590,000 titles-WOW! Some all-time favorites that popped up included:
There are also wonderful works from real-life travelers like Rick Steves, Bill Bryson, Anthony Bourdain, and Mark Twain, not to mention the classic recounting of Marco Polo's journeys.
So, have fun with the prompt and choose a book to share with us at our December meeting. A Zoom link will be available closer to the date.
If you would like to participate in the December 7th Book Club discussion, please email me directly at lisa.kippur@outlook.com, and I will forward you the Zoom link.
Happy reading-and happy traveling!
Warmly,
