If you are going to be in Chicago for ALA 2026, here is an opportunity to be a mentor--Sara Kelly Johns, RMRT Chair

    ***************

From Emily Murley, chair of the New Members Round Table Resume Review Committee:

In collaboration with the New Members Round Table (NMRT) Mentoring Committee, the NMRT Resume Review Service Committee is recruiting volunteer resume reviewers and mentors for the 2026 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago! Reviewers and mentors should be planning to attend the annual conference in person this summer and have at least five years of experience working in libraries. Also, it is a plus if you have previously participated in search committees!

We will hold this free in-person service at the ALA Job Placement Center on Saturday, June 27th & Sunday, June 28th, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. Reviewers and mentors will be scheduled in hour-long blocks. If you are planning to attend ALA Annual this summer and would like to volunteer for our in-person service, please fill out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/7pR896Z79Q6EruGN9. Last year, we served over 130 job seekers, and participants were extremely grateful for our help!

Please complete the form by Friday, June 5th, 2026. You will receive an email confirmation/reminder of the dates/times you are scheduled, along with details about the booth location as it gets closer to conference time.

Please excuse any cross posting of this message and contact the NMRT Resume Review Service Committee (resumereviewnmrt@gmail.com) with any questions.

    Thanks for considering,

    NMRT Resume Review Service Committee

    Best,

    Emily
