4pm RMRT President's Program featuring author Pulitzer Prize-Winning author, Debby Applegate, speaking on her new book MADAM, the Biography of Polly Adler, Icon of the Jazz Age. "Polly Adler was a diminutive dynamo whose Manhattan brothels were more than an oasis of illicit sex, where men paid top dollar for the company of her girls; they were also swinging salons where the culturati and high society partied with the elite of showbiz, politics, ad organized crime -- and had a hell of a time." I'm reading it now and it's an exciting story!
We will have books to raffle off. We will also be awarding the Norman Horrocks Travel Award. Come join us for the celebration. Room 143A Theater, Washington Convention Center
