The Retired Members Round Table (RMRT) shall exist to develop programs of particular interest to retired persons from all types of libraries and all forms of library services, including formal opportunities for continued involvement and learning; a variety of leadership training and opportunities for mentoring; lifelong professional involvement and networking; and active engagement in the American Library Association and the profession of librarianship.

    RMRT Field Trip:   Newberry Library Collection Highlights

    10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24

    RMRT members will enjoy a guided tour with highlights of the Newberry Library collections.  Opened in 1897, the Newberry is an independent research library that specialized in the humanities.   Its collections include materials from the European renaissance to the history of the Americas, as well as early music, cartography, the history of printing, Midwestern authors, and postcards.    

     

    No cost.   Limit:  20.   Registration open to RMRT members only until May 31.   Open to all June 1.  

     

    Meet at the Newberry Library,  60 West Walton St., Chicago.
