The Retired Members Round Table (RMRT) shall exist to develop programs of particular interest to retired persons from all types of libraries and all forms of library services, including formal opportunities for continued involvement and learning; a variety of leadership training and opportunities for mentoring; lifelong professional involvement and networking; and active engagement in the American Library Association and the profession of librarianship.

    RMRT is making a big splash at the ALA conference in Philadelphia. Here is a listing of our events:

    RMRT Friday night dinner (this is full- email Michele Lauer-Bader at michele.lauer.bader@gmail.com to be put on a waiting list) at the Iron Hill brewery, Center City, 1150 Market street

    Rosenbach Library tour, 2008 Delancy place (this is a ticketed event that is full)- Saturday at 10:30AM

    RMRT membership meeting, Convention Center Room 103A on Saturday at 2:30PM- all are welcome to attend!

    RMRT Book Group, Philadelphia Marriott, Room 304 on Saturday at 4:00PM

    RMRT President's Program- a presentation by the librarian from the Philadelphia Art Museum, Convention Center room 112 A&B on Sunday at 10:30AM

    Joint RMRT/NMRT reception, Sheraton Liberty ballroom D, Sunday at 5:00PM

    Joint program with United for Libraries- "Retired Librarians as Changemakers: working together on advocacy", Convention Ctr Room 120A on Monday at 9:00AM

    RMRT table at the United for Libraries Gala Author Tea, Le Meridian, Trumbauer ballroom on Monday at 2:00PM (room for one more person at our table- email Lisa Kippur at lisa.kippur@outlook.com)
