The Retired Members Round Table (RMRT) shall exist to develop programs of particular interest to retired persons from all types of libraries and all forms of library services, including formal opportunities for continued involvement and learning; a variety of leadership training and opportunities for mentoring; lifelong professional involvement and networking; and active engagement in the American Library Association and the profession of librarianship.

    I have a tentative reservation for 7:15 Friday 6/26
    at FatPour which is close to the convention center.
    Location and time chosen because of the reception for Sara that ends at 7:00.
    I reserved tables of 6, 18 people. The reservation is $30 per person and I must a down payment NOW ($380) and the remainder ($370.75) a week before the event.  That is an estimate $30 per person and everyone orders off the menu.  [It's not as confiscatory as other restaurants.]
    WHAT I NEED TO KNOW!!!!   Who is planning to attend THE DINNER?
    I know that several aren't going to the conference, but if you're reading this and you're an RMRT dinner attender I need to know.
    SO:   before I commit my credit card -- PLEASE TELL ME!  I need to let the restaurant know by MONDAY!

    I had a bad fall today. Wrist and lumbar 1 vertebrae fractures. Have cancelled my trip to Chicago.

    My presentation Saturday morning will be cancelled but my PPt is uploaded in case anyone is interested (and they keep it posted). I will be giving the same presentation at the UL virtual conference next month. If anyone would like my PPt on successful online fundraising for Friends (and others) I would be happy to email it to you.

    I am going to be at ALA. Been busy writing and more, so been out of touch with RMRT! I just turned in my new book though, and I am presenting on Saturday morning 9-10 am. I should be able to join you all for dinner Friday to reconnect.
