REMINDER to fill out the survey! Thanks to those who have, and thanks in advance to those who are about to.
In case you missed the survey link in Chair Sara Kelly Johns' message, here it is again. Please join the reconstituted Advocacy Committee. That said, if your preferred retirement is sitting on the front porch eating bonbons, reading and drinking coffee or on the golf course 3 times a week, you can stop reading now.
If your retirement from active paid librarianship has left you feeling out of the loop in an era when libraries need everyone's support, READ ON.
MANY RMRT members think RMRT has the potential to be a powerhouse for advocacy, service projects, and collaboration with other RTs and library groups. Because we are not beholden to any employer, we can use our voices in ways our former colleagues who are still employed cannot.
If you would like to join us to explore what that might look like, please answer these questions. RMRT has an Advocacy Committee, but it has been inactive recently. Let's revive it together. The Volunteer Form is linked at the bottom. Further information will come soon - this survey will close on August 21, 2025.
