The Retired Members Round Table (RMRT) shall exist to develop programs of particular interest to retired persons from all types of libraries and all forms of library services, including formal opportunities for continued involvement and learning; a variety of leadership training and opportunities for mentoring; lifelong professional involvement and networking; and active engagement in the American Library Association and the profession of librarianship.

    Read a humorous book over the holidays and discuss it at the next Retired Member Round Table Book Club Meeting!!!!!

    The Retired Member Round Table Book Club is for everyone. You don't have to be retired, or a member, but you do have to have a fun time on Zoom with us in January where our book prompt is humor! (books that center around banter, farce, fun, gag, joke, playfulness, whimsy, wisecrack and wit)!

    This I actually a book club that librarians can enjoy! We would love to have you join us.

    We have all read and discussed the same book but feel that with a prompt we have a better discussion and get everyone involved. We discuss many books and post titles. The discussion is on Zoom, typically the 5th Sunday of the month in the afternoon (typically 4:00pm Eastern Time).

    It is a fun, intelligent, interactive group! Laughing and reminiscing make this book club an excellent way to enjoy new and old friends from several different regions of the world.

    We had to reschedule the December Book Club due to the Holidays to the 4th Sunday in January, January 26, 2025.
