(Forwarding this message from Mary Ghikas.  I am sure many RMRTers knew Peggy.  (How could you be an ALA regular and NOT know her?!)

I regret having sad news to pass along to you .   This afternoon I received an email from Roberto A. Sarmiento, Head, Transportation Library, Northwestern University -- and Peggy Sullivan's cousin.   Peggy Sullivan died, sometime in the past couple of days.  That is all the information the family has at the moment.  I have asked Roberto to let me know when more information -- including information about sending flowers, donations or other remembrances -- is available.

This information has been shared the the ALA Governance Office and American Libraries.

I am working from home -- as are other ALA staff, but I"m available and reachable.   Email (mghikas@ala.org), mobile phone (630-373-8050)  -- or Zoom.

    Take care, all of you.

Thank you Nann and Mary for passing on the news.  I find it hard to imagine ALA without Peggy's smiling, gracious presence.  Every member of ALA, whether you were lucky enough to know Peggy or not --- everyone of us stand on HER shoulders.
