Let's mix it up! Please join us for the RMRT reception on Sunday, June 24, from 5pm until 6:3 pm in the Governors' Suite at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel on 500 Canal Street . Please RSVP to this list by June 21, and we will send you the room number. A small donation of $10-$15 at the door will help defray the cost. We will have light refreshments and time for talking and interacting with members while enjoying spectacular views!

With Michelle Obama coming on Friday and the Exhibit Hall reception after, RMRT is not having the Friday night dinner this year. We hope that all RMRT members ( plus one guest ) will join us on Sunday for the RMRT reception. And for all our scheduled meetings on Saturday.

RECEPTION ROOM NUMBER WILL BE POSTED THURSDAY, JUNE 21.

    Laissez les bons temps rouler!

    What are you reading?

Now Reading:   The New Inquisition by James LaRue.  I should have read Jamie's book long ago.  It's about intellectual freedom and censorship and how it impacts libraries and the reading (or viewing) public.  Interestingly, the "new" inquisition of attempts to control what people read, view, and think has only grown stronger.  When he worte the book, Jamie was the director of the Douglas County Library.  He is now the Director of ALA's Office of Intellectual Freedom.

Latest Movie:  Solo.  Don't believe the critics.  This is a wonderful moive, equal to the others.  It is not only an orgin movie about Solo but also for the rebellion. It's fun and exciting.  Alden Ehrenreich does, in fact, begins to capture the rough and ready spririt of the older Han Solo played by Harrison Ford.  You can see it beginning.  And I can hardly wait to see more of Daniel Glover as Lando and the cute red head with the pig-tails and freckles as the first rebellion leader.   Don't miss the epic beginning of the whole saga.

Last Movie:  Check out visiting our wonderful Hawaii get-away: www.vrbo.com/4964

    Sand, sun, and fun.
