I had the pleasure of working with Mary Jo and benefited from her Counsel often, when I served as OLOS director. I also visited her in Michigan once after retirement.  She was dedicated to our profession and her work at ALA.  A good life!

Mary Jo Lynch was one of my first professors in the MLS program at The University of Michigan.  She helped me attend my first professional conference on what we then called "library orientation" and helped set the course for my entire career.   May she rest in peace.
