    Dear Friends,

ALA Council discussed a resolution on Round Tables as part of the Forward Together program.  They voted overwhelming on the following:

Round Tables must have 150 members or merge, become an interest group, or disband.  RMRT already has twice this many so we are safe.

Round Tables bylaws should adhere to a common set of bylaws developed by the RT Coordinating Council.  No word if the Round Table doesn't want to.  According to our Bylaws Committee, led by Ann Pipkin, our bylaws are not far from the draft from the RTCC so we should not have a problem.

All Round Table dues should be the same.  Not sure what this means or whether it would raise or lower our dues.  We should wait and see.

Aaaron Dobbs is our RT Counselor and if I am reporting any of this incorrectly, I'm sure he will provide the correct information,

    Thank you Nancy (and Aaron).

It looks like we are in good shape for now; assuming the bylaws revision is eventually approved.

Good meeting this past Saturday; sorry I couldn't stay for the book discussion part but I look forward to adding to my reading list.

BTW, I would be willing to work on membership if someone would co-chair (is this the correct word?) with me.

I was unable to attend ALA conference.

Will RMRT publish the book list from the discussion?

    Thank you
