The Retired Members Round Table (RMRT) shall exist to develop programs of particular interest to retired persons from all types of libraries and all forms of library services, including formal opportunities for continued involvement and learning; a variety of leadership training and opportunities for mentoring; lifelong professional involvement and networking; and active engagement in the American Library Association and the profession of librarianship.

    RMRT Members- be sure to register for the upcoming virtual forum with the ALA presidential candidates. You must register in advance (see the link below). And be sure to look for the email from ALA with your link to vote in the Spring Election including your candidates for the RMRT Board. 


    2024 Spring Election

    The 2024 ALA Election Period: March 11, 2024 - April 3, 2024. Renew your membership by January 31, 2024 to ensure that you receive your ballot for the 2024 ALA Election.

    The ALA Presidential Candidates Virtual Forum will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Central. Each candidate will have the opportunity to share a statement and answer questions from members. ALA members can register for the forum here. Immediately following, ALA members will have the opportunity to virtually meet and greet each candidate.
