The Retired Members Round Table (RMRT) shall exist to develop programs of particular interest to retired persons from all types of libraries and all forms of library services, including formal opportunities for continued involvement and learning; a variety of leadership training and opportunities for mentoring; lifelong professional involvement and networking; and active engagement in the American Library Association and the profession of librarianship.

    DINNER:

    call for those who are interested in going to the RMRT dinner on Friday.  Let us know if you want to go, but bring your check as we will give it to Danielle in Denver.  You will make your choice of meal at the restaurant.

     



    Where: Rialto Café, 934 Three blocks from the Denver Convention Center

     

    When: 6:30pm, Friday, February 9

     

    Cost: $52 per person. Includes tax and tip. Drinks separate.

     

    Menu:         Choice of house greens or classic Caesar

    Choice of:Grilled Verlasso Salmon: Fresh Artic Patagonian salmon, basil parmesan pesto, preserved lemon, roasted vegetable orzo

     

    Chicken breasts scallopini-style, artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, capers, fresh fettucine, lemon beurre blanc

     

    Crispy eggplant rollatini, ricotta, spinach, wild mushrooms, marinara, smoked provolone

     

    Choice of seasonal cheesecake or warm peach cobbler

     

    MEETINGS


     




    Our meetings are back to back Saturday, February 10th with the Board and Membership Meeting from 3 pm to 4 pm and our Book Discussion from 4:30 - 5:30 in Rm 208 atthe Colorado Conference Center.  Please invite your friends to join us. 

     

    TOUR

     



    The Denver Public Library (DPL) Western History Collection is one of the premier western history collections in the US and the largest west of the Mississippi.   We are honored to have the Director of the Collection, Jim Kroll,  provide a guided tour for us to the books, biographies, photographs, genealogy, maps, and western art.

    When:  Monday, February 12

    Time:  10:15 am to 11:45  (with possibility of lunch following the tour)

    Transportation:  It is about a 10 minute walk to the Library from the convention center.  Those who do not want to walk can take a short cab ride.

    Maximum number:  Jim prefers a maximum of 15 people.
