The time has changed!  Still Tuesday, May 26 -- but
Time:  3 ET / 2 CT / 1 MT / noon PT.  (And whatever that works out in Hawaii time.)
Check back for the Zoom log on URL.

An ARC is an Advance Reader Copy.   They used to be called galleys.  Publishers distribute them at conferences.
If you didn't get any ARCs at Midwinter (because you didn't attend, or because you don't send any home), that's fine.
Surely you've read a recently-published book in the past five months or so.

Our book discussion is more of a book talk.   Each of us chooses a book based on the prompt (=for this, an ARC from MW2020)
and tells the others why it was good.

The list of titles/authors is compiled and published in the RMRT Book Club section of this website.

It does.  That's 10am here.  I will be on the call.

What are you reading?  Buy books from local stores.  They need your business more than Amazon.

Now Reading:  Fascism, A Warning by Mdeleine Albright.  How easily fascism rose around the world in the last century under charismatic leaders who told people what they wanted to hear.

Last Movie:   Fallen Angel.  No it is not religious.  Action film of a secret service agent falsely accused of trying to assinate the president.  Very violent and predictable so it's easy to relax and just watch.

New time is great - better,  in fact.  One of my local book groups meets at noon that same day on Google Meet.  Looking forward to seeing RMRT friends!

What is the link to the book discussion?

    I can't find it?

Now Reading:  Riders of the Purpose Sage by Zane Grey.   Read as a child and found as a donated book at the foodbank/thrift show where volunteer.  And I've learned a secret.  It's really a romance with boots, guns, and wide hats.  And the men love it.  Two lovely romances in Riders.

Last Movie:   Emma 2020 and Emma 1996.   We watched the 2020 version on Satueday and 1996 with Gwyeth Paltrow on Sunday.  Both very good.  Costumes and humor best in 2020 but 1996 version seemed truer to the book.  Now looking for Clueless.

Well, it looks like I had the wrong time anyway.  It was at 9am here.

I'm sorry.  I had a great book to share.

    But where was the link?
