  • 1.  Innovation Award

    Posted 22 days ago

Have you looked at a colleague's approach to teaching and learning about information literacy and thought, "That's cool!  I don't think I've seen anything quite like that before"?  Or, maybe fighting through feelings of imposter syndrome, you can look at something you've done to teach about information literacy and say to yourself, "I'm pretty proud of that, and I don't think I've seen anyone else do it that way."

If either of those are true, please consider nominating your colleague or yourself for the Instruction Section Innovation Award.  Last year's award committee worked very hard to whip the award into shape so that it complies with current ACRL guidelines, and this year's committee is very happy to be able to resume giving out the award after all ACRL awards were paused in 2021

The December 5th deadline is quickly approaching!  Although there is no monetary aspect to this award, it would be a great recognition of achievement for someone approaching tenure, promotion, or other career advancement.  Also, it's good for us as an association to commend good work, and this is one way we can do that.

Please get your nominations in soon!  And if you can also help the committee by spreading the word about the availability of this award, we'd very much appreciate it!
