    Are you actively searching for a job? Does your resume need a refresh? Allow professional librarians and archivists to take a look and give you personalized advice!

    If you're planning to attend ALA Annual 2024 in San Diego, CA, take advantage of the NMRT Resume Review Service!

    Join us at the ALA JobList Placement & Career Development Center on Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PT.

    In order to best accommodate demand, resume reviews are conducted by appointment. On-site appointments will be taken as allowed, but we strongly encourage those interested to sign up for an appointment online in advance. 

    The on-site Resume Review Service is to open everyone attending the meeting, regardless of NMRT or ALA membership.

    • The deadline to sign up for an appointment is Friday, June 14.
    • If possible, please print out and bring at least one hard copy of your resume to the review. You may also bring a hard copy of your cover letter, if you would like for your reviewer to take a look at it. Digital copies on electronic devices will be accepted. Printers are also available at the JobList Placement & Career Development Center.
    • If you are applying for a particular job, you are welcome to bring the job description to your review. This could help your reviewer better tailor your resume to the job.
    • Please try to arrive for your appointment a few minutes early and check in with the booth greeter. If you are more than five (5) minutes late for your appointment, your appointment may be canceled. You would then be seen as a walk-in, if space permits.
    • Appointments are 30 minutes long.

    If you would like to sign up to volunteer to be a resume reviewer, please sign up for a time slot here. Volunteers must be professional librarians and archivists who have significant experience with search committees and/or the hiring process.
