The mission of the New Members Round Table (NMRT) is to help those who have been association members less than ten years become actively involved in the association and the profession.

  • 1.  2023-24 NMRT Mentoring Program - Call Mentors/Mentees

    The NMRT Mentoring Committee is seeking both Mentors and Mentees for Career Mentoring from October 2023 to June 2024.

    Are you new to the profession? Do you want to learn more about  the American Library Association (ALA), New Members Roundtable (NMRT), or the library professions? Apply to be a mentee and receive support, meet other professionals, and develop confidence!

    Do you have over 5 years of library experience? Do you want to  use your knowledge and experience to help new librarians?  Apply to be a mentor and contribute to the profession and gain leadership  and communication skills!

    Membership in ALA is  encouraged but not required. Applications are due October 30, 2023, and we aim to match pairs in November.
