    Hi everyone,

    Do you know and love an Illinois library worker? Are YOU an Illinois library worker? You can nominate them - or yourself - for an Illinois Library Association Award?!The Illinois Library Association (ILA) awards program recognizes excellence in librarianship and library services.

    The award most relevant to new librarians is the Crosman Memorial Award for New Library Workers; it honors the achievements of the library workers who are new or relatively new to the field and encourages continued involvement in the profession. Other awards honor those who have accomplished a great deal over a long period of time; this award is to honor people who have accomplished a great deal in a short time.

    ILA has many awards for all types of positions within Illinois libraries. The full list of awards, with eligibility and criteria, is available on the ILA website at https://www.ila.org/about/awards-and-scholarships. The deadline to submit all award nominations is May 15, 2022.
