    Hello, LIRT Members,

The Committee on Library Advocacy is seeking a LIRT representative to serve a two-year appointment to the Committee on Library Advocacy Library Ecosystem Subcommittee.  The ecosystem subcommittee was born out of the collaborative state ecosystem task force that completed its work in October 2020. This group also holds virtual meetings and meets in-person at Annual Conference, for those that attend.

Here is the ecosystem subcommittee's charge: The COLA ecosystem subcommittee will support work that:

    • develops additional tools to support strong implementation of ALA Ecosystem Initiative ideas.
    • produces and publishes programs, webinars and articles about ecosystem implementation and successes.
    • facilitates a community of ecosystem practitioners to support the exchange of ideas, successes and even challenges.
    • identifies policy recommendations that will codify ALA's ongoing commitment to strengthening library ecosystems both within ALA and beyond, including equal recognition of all affiliated state associations.

If you are interested in serving as a member of this subcommittee, please DM me, or contact me via email at holly.reiter@okstate.edu

    Best wishes,

    Holly Reiter, LIRT President
