The mission of the Library Instruction Round Table (LIRT) is to provide a forum for discussion of activities, programs, and problems of instruction in the use of libraries; to contribute to the education and training of librarians for library instruction; to promote instruction in the use of libraries as an essential library service, and to serve as a channel of communication on library instruction between the ALA divisions, ALA and ACRL committees, state clearinghouses, Project LOEX, other organizations concerned with instruction in the use of libraries, and members of the Association.

    Branching Out: Growing and Adapting Your Information Literacy Practice

    52nd Annual LOEX Conference
    May 2-4, 2024
    Naperville, Illinois

    Grow your information literacy pedagogy at LOEX 2024 in Naperville, Illinois! Located outside of Chicago, Naperville is home to a vast system of forest preserves-the perfect place to celebrate our unique but interconnected information literacy knowledge and practices. We want to hear how you're planting the seeds of information literacy and empowering your students to thrive. Showcase how your instructional practices are flourishing and where you've seen new growth or are branching out.

    This year's LOEX proposal tracks are:
    - Planting Seeds: Pedagogy and Instructional Design
    - Putting Down Roots: Collaboration and Outreach
    - Seeing the Forest: Assessment and Evaluation
    - Controlled Burns: Revitalize and Renew
    - Climate Change: Adapting to New Technologies
    - Field Notes: Using Research to Inform Practice

    Proposals for 50-minute long presentations and interactive workshops can be submitted only through the online submission form and must be received by Monday, November 27, 2023.
