In this workshop, you will get a brief introduction to Pressbooks, a web-based authoring tool that can be used to create Open Education Resources and books. You will learn about pedagogical strategies you can use in creating OER such as embedding video content, interactive glossaries, Hypothesis, H5P and call out boxes. Getting Started with H5P: Creating Interactive OER
H5P is a web-based software that enables users to create interactive digital content. It has over 30 different content types which means H5P can be used in a variety of ways to engage with learners. H5P's open nature makes it a great tool to collaborate and share with others, as well as to create OERs.
This session will explore the ways that H5P can be used to create engaging OER. In this session we will discuss the infrastructure of H5P, instructional design, and accessibility and universal design. Attendees will also get the chance to create an account and practice creating an H5P activity.
