Dear fellow LIRTers,I'm again sharing my post from December, in the hopes of gathering additional feedback -- positive, negative or otherwise. Since this summer, the RTCA Bylaws Task Force has been meeting and reviewing the 20 round tables' various bylaws documents. Our aim has been to create a bylaws template that all round tables could use and follow, to amend our respective bylaws. The end goal would be much greater uniformity among our 20 round tables' governing documents, and thus greater clarity and less administrative burden for those who support our round tables' important work. More standardization among the round tables was a recommendation of the Forward Together Working Group. The RTCA Bylaws Task Force is thrilled to share our bylaws template draft with you. It is linked here. We use red font to note instances where our task force has recommended a point of standardization that goes beyond simple bylaws uniformity. Please take this opportunity to share this template draft with your round tables. Please note that this document is only a draft. The Task Force wants and needs your feedback, in order to make the final template a success. We will use this form to collect feedback and suggestions. Round Table members have until February 1, 2021 to submit feedback. In early February, our task force will meet again to finalize this template, using the feedback we receive. After that, LIRT and other round tables would be encouraged (but not mandated) to begin reviewing our own bylaws and proposing amendments to come into greater uniformity with the template.Thank you in advance for your feedback!Best wishes,Mark, on behalf of the Bylaws Task Force------------------------------
