  • 1.  Seeking advice on library leadership institutes

    Posted Dec 08, 2023 09:04 AM

    Hello LearnRT members!

I'm co-chairing our Maryland Library Leadership Institute planning committee and we're working on revamping our program with the intention to re-launch in 2025. We've done a stakeholder survey and have collected some great input, which will help us focus on the curriculum content to be covered at the institute. One of our next steps will be to draft a request for proposals.

My question is really about who is currently doing this kind of work nationwide as a consultant and facilitator. If you have names of experienced people who have a track record of successfully coordinating and facilitating statewide/regional library leadership institutes, we'd appreciate knowing about them.

    Thanks!

    -Joe

We use Cathy Hakala-Ausperk from Libraries Thrive Consulting for our leadership academy in Indiana. She's a great speaker and can tailor information to your exact needs. I've gone through the leadership academy as part of the cohort and, most recently, as a mentor librarian for the cohort. Both were enjoyable and informative. www.librariesthrive.com
