    Hi all- 
    I recently started in my position and am over seeing staff and organizational training at Chicago Public Library.  The position has been vacant for a few years so I'm kind of starting fresh.  I was wondering if any you use online training resources for your locations? If so what? If any of you would be open to meeting virtually or answering some more questions over email that would be great. There aren't a lot of large city or county systems in IL so I'm looking for other systems nationally to connect with. Thanks

    Hi Renee,
    I train the technical services departments of the member libraries of the Cooperative Computer Services (CCS) Consortium in Illinois. We have online courses and webpages for our online training resources. We use Articulate Storyline and Rise to create our courses. We use Camtasia to create our videos. I would be happy to meet virtually to show off our training resources. I'm really happy with our online courses. We switched to online training because of COVID and had to quickly learn Articulate. All of our courses have videos, written instructions, software simulations, and activities.

    Hi Renee!

    I'm the Training and Digital Resources Librarian for the Library System of Lancaster County, PA. We've recently implemented a learning management system, have an intranet on SharePoint, and do occasional synchronous Zoom courses. Send me an email any time; I'd love to chat further.
