    Hi everyone,

    As part of my MLIS study, I am examining the role State Libraries have in providing continuing education to library staff members. I'd appreciate your insight into the following questions!

    What state-mandated requirements for continuing education are present in your state (e.g. hours of CE required per year)?
    What support does your State Library provide in meeting those requirements?
    What support do you WISH your State Library provided?

    Hi Kerri!

    I did a bit of research back in 2018 and compiled continuing education requirements specific to librarians for the 50 US states. I broke the information into requirements for directors and requirements for staff and included a link to where I found that information. I couldn't find any specific sites or legislation for California or Hawaii, so I talked with librarians to fill in the information for those states.

    I haven't gone through the source links since 2018, so hopefully they're still good.
