GODORT Tour of Free Library of Philadelphia at ALA Annual Saturday June 28. Space is limited to 15 individuals and you must register in advance to join. The registration form is set to close when we meet the 15 capacity or on Friday June 13, whichever comes first. Free Library of Philadelphia, 1901 Vine St., 2nd Floor, Philadelphia, PA, 19103 (Accessibility entrance is located at the back of the library at 20th and Wood Street (northwest corner of the building).
Saturday June 28 from 9:30 AM to 11 AM. Afterwards, tour attendees would also have the option to participate in the Rare Book Department tour, taking place at 11:00 AM.
Tour itinerary would be as follows:
9:30-10:15 a.m. Map Collection/Government Publications - meeting within the Map Collection, located on the second-floor, top of the main staircase within the Social Science and History Department.
10:15-10:30 - Brief tour of the new second-floor exhibition about birds and birding (including selections from the Map Collection, Print and Picture Collection, Government Publications, and the Children's Literature Research Collection)
10:30-10:55- Print and Picture Collection tour
11:00-11:30 - optional tour of the Rare Book Department hosted by RBD staff
