The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    Hello to all from the GODORT Membership & Nominating Committee!
    Reminder - Today Wednesday December 3 the deadline for nominations for 3 elected ALA officer positions and nominees for the Depository Library Council (DLC)!
    GODORT is looking for volunteers to serve in 3 elected ALA officer positions, and also for nominees for appointments to serve on the Depository Library Council (DLC).
    It is an opportune time to lend your talents to GODORT and to the DLC to engage with government information professionals across the country!
    Thanks for all the nominations that have come in so far for the roles. Please consider nominating for the Chair-Elect position, as we will need leadership to start in this role July 2026! Nominations are desperately needed in this area!
