Program proposals for ALA Annual: drafts by Sept 8

Did you know that ALA Annual 2023 (in San Diego) is just around the corner?  Actually, it's ten months away!  But ALA juried program proposals are due soon and we need your creative ideas to keep GODORT leading in the field.  At the end of this post is a link to the ALA site with detailed info, but here's the skinny:

You need to write a good program proposal about an issue or theme in government information.  You can have a specific speaker or panel in mind, but this is not essential.

The topic must be an emerging "hot" topic and/or a topic for which there is demonstrated high demand.

The learning objectives for the session must be clear, specific, measurable, and actionable.

One succinct paragraph is all we need.  As members of the GODORT Program Committee, we ask that you first submit your proposals to us (Andie Craley, ACraley@Harford.edu and Cass Hartnett, cass@uw.edu) by FRIDAY, SEPT 8 so that we can review them in time for the GODORT Steering Committee meeting.

Steering-vetted proposals will be submitted via the form indicated below.  You may also refer to the link for information about poster proposals.

Looking forward to reading your ideas,

    Andie & Cass
