Greetings all,
It may be hard to believe, but it's time to start thinking about ALA Annual 2025 in Philadelphia. ALA juried program proposals are due soon (form closes at 11:59pm ET on September 23) and we need your creative ideas to keep GODORT leading in the field. At the end of this post is a link to the ALA site with detailed info, but here are the basic details:
- You need to write a good program proposal about an issue or theme in government information. You can have a specific speaker or panel in mind, but this is not essential.
- The topic must be an emerging "hot" topic and/or a topic for which there is demonstrated high demand.
- The learning objectives for the session must be clear, specific, measurable, and actionable.
One succinct paragraph is all we need. As members of the GODORT Program Committee, we ask that you first submit your proposals to us - email the Programming Committee chair, Julia Ezzo (julia@msu.edu) by FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6 so that we can review them in time for the GODORT Steering Committee meeting.
Steering-vetted proposals will be submitted via the form indicated below. You may also refer to the link for information about poster proposals.
Please review ALA's site for more information: https://www.ala.org/news/2024/08/ala-opens-2025-annual-conference-exhibition-call-proposals
Looking forward to reading your ideas,
--
