The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    Greetings GODORT members,

    As I'm sure many of you are aware, GODORT Steering tasked a Special Committee on Reorganization to careful evaluate the committee structure of GODORT and provide recommendations to make GODORT a more sustainable organization. The Final Report has been presented to Steering and I welcome members of the GODORT community to provide feedback on the recommendations. 

    This Final Report will be discussed at the June 5 GODORT Friday Chat and there will be plenty of time during that chat to ask questions, raise concerns, and share your thoughts. Additionally, there will be time for discussion during the virtual GODORT Membership meeting on June 8 at 12pm CT, as well as in person in Chicago on June 27 at 4pm CT.  As always, you are also welcome to send feedback directly to me at julia@msu.edu
