The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    The GODORT Winter Virtual Committees weeklong meetings in January will be held the week of January 12-16.
    The GOOORT Membership & Nominating Committee is meeting on Tuesday January 13  at 3 PM EST / 2 PM CT.     5. ALA Annual Conference 2026 submission site for President's and Chair's Programs, Ticketed Events, and Meetings/Other Events opened November 2025 - status updates to be shared

    6. Status of updating the Membership & Nominating Committee Policies & Procedure Manual (PPM)

    7. Thinking about updating any GODORT membership promotional campaign for 2025-2026, for ALA Annual 2026 - for any possible Round Table Counter welcome slots

    8. Any new topics, and/or old or new business?

    9. Recurring monthly meeting for the 1st Tuesday of each month at 3 PM ET / 2 PM CT - Zoom room reserved, and will send out recurring meeting appointments.
