The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

  • 1.  GODORT Friday Chat on Friday September 6

    This Friday September 6 at 1 PM EST (12 Noon CT), is our next GODORT Friday Chat. The topic will be the "End of 2024 Term Web Crawl and Archive" We will hear from James R. Jacobs of Stanford University and Abbie Grotke of The Library of Congress on their work on the End of Term Web Archive that captures and saves U.S. Government websites at the end of presidential administrations. - https://eotarchive.org/. 

    GODORT Chats are hosted on the 1st Friday of each month at 1 PM Eastern. These are informal sessions for the GODORT community and friends to meet and talk about issues in government information. You do not need to be a GODORT member to attend (but we would love to have you join)!
