The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    TOMORROW March 7, 2025 - Checking in with Library Communities and Impact to Cataloging Operations without CRDP and Marcive – Ted Schwitnzer, Senior Library Services Coordinator for the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI) and Angela Bonnell, Head of Government Information and Maps at Illinois State University's Milner Library, will talk about the Illinois consortium's United States Government Documents collection (CARLI) collection in CARLI's Network Zone. Records for this collection are supplied via OCLC's U.S. Government Documents – Electronic collection in WorldShare for electronic format records. Bring your examples of how you are adjusting to new workflows to add to our discussions!
    GODORT Chats are hosted on the 1st Friday of each month at 1 PM Eastern. These are informal sessions for the GODORT community and friends to meet and talk about issues in government information.
