NEXT Friday November 1 at 1 PM EST (12 Noon CT), is our next GODORT (Government Documents Round Table of ALA) Friday Chat. The topic will be the on the new GODORT Preservation Grant opportunity. The GODORT Preservation Grant provides funding for library work associated with preserving government information in all formats and from all levels of government in order to sustain current and future access. For many libraries, receiving even a modest sum to advance preservation activities can make a difference in access for the communities they serve. You can also learn how you can donate to this cause! We will hear from Shari Laster, GODORT Development Committee Chair, Arizona State University.
GODORT Chats are hosted on the 1st Friday of each month at 1 PM Eastern. These are informal sessions for the GODORT community and friends to meet and talk about issues in government information. You do not need to be a GODORT member to attend (but we would love to have you join)! Come see some friendly faces in the Government Information world!
