GODORT Cataloging Committee requests input on the Cataloging Toolbox for U.S. Federal Government Information

  • 1.  GODORT Cataloging Committee requests input on the Cataloging Toolbox for U.S. Federal Government Information

    Posted Oct 01, 2024 05:23 PM

This message is being sent on behalf of the GODORT Cataloging Committee.

The consecutive announcements that GPO would be discontinuing the Catalog Record Distribution Program (CRDP) in March 2025 and that MARCIVE, Inc., would be ceasing operations in December of this year have left the government documents cataloging community looking for alternative options for these services.

In an effort to improve the "Sources of GPO Catalog Records" section of the Cataloging Toolbox for U.S. Federal Government Information, the GODORT Cataloging Committee is asking interested individuals to submit the questions they are currently asking as a result of these announcements. Our goal is to use this information to add more details about the sources of these catalog records, as well as to add more review-like information for each service/product.

The response form is now available and will be receiving comments at least through the end of 2024.

    thanks!
