The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    Hello GODORT Community,

    We are excited to announce a final extension for the GODORT General Awards to January 31, 2025!
    This extension provides more time to recognize and celebrate excellence in government information. If you know someone deserving of an award, or have a project worth nominating, now is your chance to submit!

    The following awards are included in this extension:

    • James Bennett Childs Award
    • ProQuest/GODORT/ALA "Documents to the People" Award
    • NewsBank/Readex/GODORT/ALA Catharine J. Reynolds Research Grant
    • Bernadine Abbott Hoduski Founders Award
    • Margaret T. Lane / Virginia F. Saunders Memorial Research Award

    Please note that the deadlines for the W. David Rozkuszka Scholarship and the GODORT Preservation Grant remain unchanged: March 1, 2025.
