The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    Hi Everyone,

    Here is our draft agenda for our meeting on Friday.  Please note the correct time is at 1:00 pm Eastern and we are meeting in the Marriott Marquis, Judiciary Square.  This meeting is a joint meeting with GODORT Legislation Committee.  Our proposed agenda is below.  Lisa Jochelson, GIS Chair, is unable to attend and asked me to Chair this meeting in her absence.  Our thanks to everyone for your work on the memorial resolution for David S. Ferriero which Gavin says has been sent on by COL.  If you have any other resolutions to discuss, please bring them forward.

    • Welcome and introductions (Aimée Quinn & Shari Laster - 5 minutes)
    • Government Publishing Office update (Cindy Etkin - 10 minutes)
    • Task Force on a Digital Federal Depository Library Program (Cindy Etkin or other GPO representative, Aimée Quinn, Shari Laster - 15 minutes)
    • Updates (5 minutes)
      • Depository Library Council (Aimée Quinn)
      • ALA Public Policy & Advocacy office (Gavin Baker)
    • If needed: Resolutions (20 minutes) – have you heard of any? If not, reallocate to prior items
    • Next steps & closing (all - 5 minutes)
