The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to (1) To provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government documents; (2) to provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; (3) to increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

    A whole host of GODORT updates & save the dates this week.
    First up, after what seems like a long hiatus, Friday Chats return this week with a Friday Chat feat. our Cataloging Committee. Register for the series here to get the Zoom link: https://godort.libguides.com/fridaychats. We've got a great line-up of Friday chats coming up:
     
    Feb 10th (12 pm Central): Friday chat with the Cataloging Committee
    Feb 24th (12 pm Central): Meet our Emerging Leaders!
    Mar 10th (12 pm Central): Meet our ALA Presidential Candidates Pt 1, Eric Suess
    Mar 24th (12 pm Central): Meet our ALA Presidential Candidates Pt 2, Cindy Hohl
     
    Speaking of ALA Presidential Candidates, the ALA ballot will go out March 13th and stay open until Apr 5th. The candidates for the GODORT ballot are:
     
    Chair-Elect: Andrea Craley
    Publication Chair-Elect: Kelly Wilson
    Secretary: Brett Cloyd
    Treasurer: Elizabeth Sanders
